International Student Advisory Service
Attending university, and moving away from home, can be a daunting process, and we realise that for international students this may be even harder. Our support network strives to help new students get settled by arranging an induction session and providing an induction pack, which includes all the relevant information about becoming a student in the UK.
Our International Student Advisory Service are here to help you with your arrival and induction at University Centre Shrewsbury, and will be at Manchester or Liverpool Airport, or Chester railway station, on specified dates before the start of term to welcome international students.
The Chaplaincy at University Centre Shrewsbury offers personal and spiritual support to all members of the University Centre. While the Chaplaincy is a Christian presence, individuals of any faith or none are welcome to contact the Chaplain if they wish to speak in confidence on any matter.
University Centre Shrewsbury is working in partnership with the University of Chester, which was founded as a Church of England institution. We have inherited the University of Chester’s ethos enshrined in its ‘Mission, Vision and Foundational Values’ and Chaplaincy takes a role in encouraging students and staff to live by these principles.
Chaplaincy is based in Guildhall, and we have a Quiet Space set aside for reflection and creativity at any time, and the Chaplain’s office. All are welcome to call into the Chaplaincy.
