The Aspire Book Scheme: Helping you start a new chapter

Wednesday, May 31, 2017

When it comes to going to university, no matter what subject you’re studying, you’re always going to need books.

So, as a small welcome gift to you, through John Smith’s bookshop, we’ve arranged for all first year (Level 4) full-time undergraduates starting at University Centre Shrewsbury this September to receive key course texts at no extra cost.

Open to all EU, UK and international students, you will be eligible if you are:

  •   a first-year (Level 4) undergraduate studying at University Centre Shrewsbury
  •   commencing your studies in September 2017
  •   studying full-time
  •   paying the full fee levels set for new students for 2017

So, if you’re wondering what you need to do to get these books, well, it’s really very easy.

As soon as you have enrolled and received your student registration/identification (ID) card, all you need to do is show this card at the collection point which will be communicated before you join us.

The number of books you will receive depends on your course, and the particular books your course leader has specified as essential.

If all of this has made you speculate whether you should buy any books before starting this September, you can always check what books you may be receiving via John Smith’s website www.chesteraspire.co.uk/AFB. There will still be plenty of time, prior to the start of your course, to buy more books.

In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding the scheme, please don’t hesitate to contact us at chesteraspire@johnsmith.co.uk or enquiries@ucshrewsbury.ac.uk
