Reading Group: The Russian Revolution through Literature

This Saturday, Dr Giulia Miller will be visiting University Centre Shrewsbury to lead the next in a trio of Reading Group Meetings.

Dr Miller will be evaluating the impact of the Russian Revolution, which took place 100 years ago this year, on writers and poets and their work.

The group will be invited to consider George Orwell’s 1945 work Animal Farm as well as a selection of works from key Russian poets. Copies of the poems being discussed will be available on the day, while participants are asked to read Animal Farm beforehand.
