They are taking place on Saturday 8th February, Saturday 7th March and Saturday 4th April and are designed to give you a taster of life at University.

There’s a few things you should make the most of during your visit:

Subject Sessions

Take part in a taster lecture or seminar based on your chosen subject to give you a feel for what it would be like to study on your course. It’s a great opportunity to get a real feel for the subject as well as giving you the chance to find out more about your module options, assessment methods, field trips and other opportunities offered alongside your study.

You will be able to meet different academic members of staff who will share their expertise whilst also getting to know you and your interests on a personal level. You will also have the opportunity to meet some of our current students who will be on hand to answer all of your questions about student life at the University and in Shrewsbury.

View Accommodation

If you’re moving away from home for the first time, it’s important that you look at the accommodation we have available. Our partnership accommodation Mardol House and The Tannery are located right in the centre of town, just a five-minute walk from the University. Both sites offer self-catered and en-suite with shared kitchen and lounge facilities. There is also the option of studio apartments with a bed and a fitted kitchen specifically featured at Mardol House.

Our student ambassadors will be taking tour groups over to the accommodation throughout the day so do make sure you check out each of the sites and ask the ambassadors any questions you may have.

Advice and Guidance

There will be plenty of opportunity to visit our Advice and Guidance desks throughout the event. From questions about student finance, your application, or welfare support, our friendly staff will be available to help you.

Campus Tours

If this is your first time visiting University Centre Shrewsbury, make sure you take part in one of our student-led campus tours. Our student ambassadors will show you around Guildhall, pointing out facilities such as the library, the Students’ Union, the student common room and the fitness suite.
